Get Comfortable With Being Uncomfortable

“Get comfortable with being uncomfortable.”I had fractured my pelvis in a bike race and because the fracture wasn’t in a weight-bearing area, I was allowed to ride the trainer indoors during my recovery. But it hurt. A lot. One of my elite training partners told me to ride anyway, that one day it wouldn’t hurt and think how great I’d feel on the bike then. So, I got comfortable with being uncomfortable. It build strength, character and toughness by riding through it. We are living through some very uncomfortable times. Everything is impacted: family, work, finances, social life and athletic pursuits. It’s been 8 months and we’ve got a long, long way yet to go. Get comfortable with being uncomfortable. You’ll build strength, character and toughness in the process. – Rick
