Body Weight Leg Day

Before lifting weights, I always begin leg day with a series of body weight exercises to warm up and prepare for the heavier workload.

Here are four examples:

1) single leg lunge forward and backward 

2) prisoner squat 

3) high stepping 

4) step ups 

Work through the circuit 3-5 times. I do some of these exercises before hitting the ice to get the legs moving.
