It’s important to listen to the body and make adjustments to your workouts when necessary. After getting a little dinged up on the ice Friday, my shoulder told me to skip my scheduled lift that day. On Monday, I returned to the gym, but dropped down in weight and skipped shoulder exercises completely.
On Tuesday, I got back to my shoulder workout, but again using lower weights. I should be back to 100% for my next upper body session. Listen to your body and make smart adjustments to your training plan if necessary in order to avoid missing a long period of time due to a lingering injury.
